Come party on the hill with a unique confluence of jazz and blues legends and newcomers such as Celisse, Anders Osborne, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Kamasi Washington.

The Park City Song Summit redefines the live music experience. By design it creates an environment for musicians to share, learn, and recharge their passion for music through community and the power of song. Unlike any other music gathering, The Song Summit is also a place to examine the struggles and breakthroughs that artists face on their creative journey. Over the course of five days in September, the Song Summit combines the singer-songwriter format of an Unplugged platform with a MasterClass style of information exchange through Labs. This atmosphere for connection between musician and fan reimagines the idea of playing to a crowd and focuses on sharing and exploring the full spectrum of songwriting and creating music. Song Summit is not a music festival. But, just because it is not a “festival”, doesn’t mean there won’t be live music performances. Bands and artists will play intimate shows, share stories at songwriter in the rounds, busk on the street, flash jam in surprise locations and perform small and big stage concerts.

Celisse is a multitalented artist whose work spans myriad artistic disciplines and inspires all those who bear witness. She laid the roots of her career as a performer in Broadway’s Godspell and Wicked, and on television in 30 Rock and Rescue Me, among others. Since then, Celisse has established herself as a highly sought-after musician, supporting artists ranging from Lizzo (Saturday Night Live) to Jon Batiste (The Late Show with Stephen ColbertTiny Desk Concert) to Tiana Major9 (Afropunk). She is a member of Ghosts of the Forest with Trey Anastasio and has played alongside music legends Melissa Ethridge (Apollo Theatre) and Mariah Carey (Beacon Theatre). As a musician, she has established strategic partnerships with Gibson, Benson Amps, Korg and Keeley Electronics, among others. She has lent her musical talents to the choral arrangements for America’s Got Talent and is currently commissioned as composer and orchestrator of a brand-new Contemporary Opera for Catapult Opera. As a solo artist, Celisse played a 2019 headlining tour across Russia and is set to release a full-length album in the Fall of 2021. Her original music, powered by her soulful voice, is hard-rocking and blues-tinged, with hooks that are both infectious and incredibly moving.
